I would say Dominican Republic only because I am Dominican and my parents call my room a dormitorio, a dorm. I’m not sure how the passage can make it clear where he lives though..

The answer is Spain. Usually kids 20 years or younger still live with their parents or grandparents. I got it right, btw.
