The correct answer is C. Zeus sends dangerous storms to punish Odysseus and his men for their actions on the island of Cicones.

Explanation:

"The Odyssey" is an epic Greek poem written by Homer that dates back to the 8th century and that focus on Odysseus, who is a Greek hero, and his journey back home after the Trojan war, because of this "The Odyssey" tells all the difficulties Odysseus has to face and reflects the Greek culture and beliefs. One of this is the Greeks dislike regarding greediness, this particular belief is depicted in the island of the Cicones as Oddyseus and his men sail to the island of the Cicones and decide to take everything on it enslaving the women and killing the men just guided by the greed and desire to conquer the tribe of the Cicons and stealing the supplies.

Due to this when they are about to leave the island they are attacked by the people on it and also, once they are in the sea Zeus sends multiple and dangerous storms to punish these men for their actions in the Island, this shows the gods do not agree with the greediness shown by Odysseus and other men and because of this Zeus sent storms to punish them. Thus, the event in the Odyssey that depicts the dislike of greediness in Ancient Greece is that men were punished by the god Zeus for being greed in the Island of the Cicones.
