Answer:    They encouraged the spread of arts and education

They provided financial support to artists

Explanation:  During the Renaissance, the church's doctrine was rejected, and the patrons who supported the Renaissance movement, encouraged education and art. Patrons certainly were against dogmatic teachings, but their very activity in supporting Renaissance art and education was more than enough to counteract church ideas in this way, as the Renaissance was in full swing.

Also the climate of free ideas, sprinkled with humanism and naturism, has contributed to new directions in art and architecture. In the painting, the perspective was emphasized with a very pronounced naturism, as well as motifs of the human body modeled on the Greek humanism. The patrons funded Renaissance art as well as education, and in that way, inspired the development of new ideas. On the other hand, this in turn enabled them to have a certain social status and reputation.

The patrons supported the Renaissance movement in Italy by encouraging the spread of arts and education and providing financial support to artists. Patrons like the Medici Family sponsors the Renaissance artists by building schools and museum and by giving money as an aid for an artist to continue working on his art.
