I never watch television... do I? It does not make sense to input didn’t I or don’t I? if you remove the contractions it simply does not make sense.

for example .....<u> its raining </u><u>heavily</u><u> today .....</u>

here instead of the word heavily ..... we use the idiom " cats and dogs"

which has the same meaning ..... so when the idiom is used in the sentence ....
