98% of the country's power is generated from just two plants; the Itaipu Dam and Yacyreta Dam. Again in 2016, Paraguay exported 70% of its generated power making revenue of USD 2 billion and this accounted for 7.7% of the country's revenue. The two plants are shared with Brazil and Argentina.
