What are the types of risky behavior amongs teenagers

A risky behaviour among a teen will be doing any act which would be considered possibly damaging to their development in adolescents.

An example would be something such as underage drinking, which can form into an addiction and be detrimental to their development.

Other cases may be smoking, or sneaking out at night to go to parties. Often times, these parties may be composed of individuals with bad influences.

The teen may see these risky acts as 'cool' and will continue. A lot of times, peer pressure has a hand in this continuation.

If confronted, the teenager may be agitated or annoyed that you are trying to discuss their behaviour. It's because of this that a disconnection between the parent and the child may form.

When this happens, their risky behaviour may increase. This would be done in response to the parent, as a form of 'rebelling' against them.

Hopefully, this helps! =)
