William Jennings Bryan was an American orator and politician from Nebraska. William Jennings Bryan opposed the idea that ONLY gold should be used as a basis for currency and supported bimetallism which means He believed in a more inflationary policy which would use both gold and silver because he stood against the idea of a fixed value for gold while supporting the concept of a currency based on two metals as more stable. He believed that this would bring peace and prosperity in the country.

What was a key reason Chester Arthur was NOT re-nominated by the Republicans for a second presidential term?
pishuonlain [190]
If I recall correctly, Chester Arthur was never nominated for President. He succeeded to the Presidency when President Garfield was assassinated. He was not nominated as President for the next term because he had turned against the spoils politics of the time and had supported Civil Service reform while he was President.

mel-nik [20]

I would like to know first, whether or not they have commited any crimes, because if they are a criminal, they would onky cause crimes here and increase crime rate (not saying that every immigrant is a criminal) If they have a clean record, then I think it would be okay, people come to our country looking for a new life.
