Midpoint formula : (x1 + x2)/2, (y1 + y2)/2
(10,2)...x1 = 10 and y1 = 2
(-4,-3)...x2 = -4 and y2 = -3
now we sub and solve
m = (10 - 4) / 2, (2 - 3) / 2
m = (6/2, -1/2)
m = (3,-1/2)...ur midpoint
the value of y = -1/2 <==

Dylan wants to determine a 80 percent confidence interval for the true proportion of high school students in the area who attend
irakobra [83]
He should use a sample size of 655.

We can use the formula

n=\frac{z_{\alpha\2}^2\hat{p}(1-\hat{p})}{E^2}

We find the z-value by first subtracting the confidence level from 1:
1 - 0.8 = 0.2

Divide this by 2:
0.2/2 = 0.1

Subtract this from 1:
1 - 0.1 = 0.9

Using a z-table (http://www.z-table.com) we find the z-score associated with this is 1.28.

Now we plug our information into our formula:
n=\frac{z_{\alpha\2}^2\hat{p}(1-\hat{p})}{E^2}
\\
\\=\frac{1.28^2(0.8)(0.2)}{0.02^2} = 655.36

The graph shows the speed of sam’s car over time.
Flauer [41]

Answer:

The car is slowing down.

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph compares the speed of Sam's car to the time that has passed. In section C, the graph is decreasing; this means the dependent variable, speed, is decreasing as the independent variable, time, is increasing.

His car is slowing down.

If a canoe travels with a speed of A mph for 3 hours, and then with a speed of B mph for the rest of the journey, how long does
mylen [45]
For time-speed-distance problems, you use the relationship
.. speed = distance/time
in any of its various forms.

The distance traveled at A mph is
.. distance = speed * time
.. distance = A*3

The time required for the rest of the journey is
.. time = distance / speed
.. time = (C -3A)/B

The the total time required to travel C miles is the 3 hours for the first part plus the time for the rest of the journey.
.. total journey time = 3 + (C -3A)B . . . . . hours
