“The Fall of the House of Usher” is the story of a sick man whose fears manifest themselves through his supernatural, sentient family estate. (Sentient means able to perceive things.) The story explores both physical and mental illness, and the effect that such afflictions have on the people closest to those who are sick. One interpretation is that much of the seeming “madness” of the main character does turn out, in fact, to be the cause of truly supernatural events. That is, he’s not crazy – his house really is haunted, and his sister really is back from the dead. Another interpretation is that the madness really is imaginary.

Answer:

Gloom and despair are ever present dangers.

Explanation:

Edgar Allan Poe, despite the fact that he was against instructive writing, in the short story "The Fall of the House of Usher" was most likely trying to deliver a specific message – to be careful about the agony and depression. In this story, the sentiments of the anguish and depression encompassing the property of the Ushers from the earliest starting point suggest on the agony and the hopelessness inside the Usher twins which will be the passing of them. Edgar Allan Poe was a remarkable man that a great many people couldn't get it. Many perceive that he is a skilled author with a bizarre and dim style. "The Fall Of The House Of Usher" is standout amongst his most outstanding short. Many contend the various implications of this story and how it is emblematic to his life.
