Why are there three lines in each stanza? What could be the purpose of the poet in writing three lines per stanza? (Islands and
Flura [38]

Answer and Explanation:

"Islands and Icebergs" by Ralph Semino Galan is a poem about reading a poem. The speaker asks readers to imagine the paper as being the ocean and the words to be floating on the that ocean. That is a clue as to why he writes three lines per stanza. The length of the lines, along with their number, reminds us of the waves, even the foam, to floats up and down, back and forth, on the ocean. The author wrote three lines per stanza as a way to make the poem itself resemble an ocean, instead of simply asking as to imagine it.

How did telephone service grow between 1876 and 1915? What inferences can you make about this growth? Cite at least two pieces o
grin007 [14]

Answer:

Between 1875 and 1915, the growth of telephone communication was due to a social need for intercommunication, which forced the first telephone in the world to be formed in 1876, by Antonius Meucci and Bell in the United States.

Then in 1861 a second prototype phone was formed which was created by Elisha Gray.

This began to trigger a large transfer of information, at the beginning few telephones were used, proposing specific communications at specific times.

In the use of the telephone, a large number of women who had access during the warlike stages were the ones who re-found their husbands, or even placed relatives in desperate situations.

As regards the telephone device itself, several things can be pointed out.

In 1915 Clark Thompson invented the candlestick phone. Candelabra phones had a mouthpiece (transmitter) mounted on top of the stand and a receiver (earpiece) that the user held in their ear while making a call. When the phone was not in use, the receiver was placed on the hook of the switch that protruded to the side of the bracket, thus disconnecting the audio circuit from the telephone network.

The introduction of the carbon microphone, which considerably increased the power emitted, and therefore the maximum range of communication.

The Luink anti-local device, to avoid hearing disturbance caused by ambient noise in the room where the phone is installed.

Pulse marking by means of the so-called marking disk.

Touchtone dialing.

The introduction of the electret microphone or electret, condenser microphone, practically used in all modern devices, which considerably improves the quality of sound.

Explanation:

Today the telephone route was partly replaced by social networks, or by other methods of communication, midway through the development of the world of the telephone the advance of the fax was unleashed.
