Answer:

<em>B.)</em><em> Soften</em>

Explanation:

The word mollify means to pacify or conciliate someone's anger or fear, to alleviate these feelings. These are strong feelings so it can be considered that the person would be softening them. In this example, it means that time hadn't' done anything for the hate Chillingworth felt for Reverend Dimmesdale.

What is the conversation in chapter nine between scout and Atticus and what does it tell us about these two characters and what
Ivahew [28]
It's saying that Atticus is a respectable person who doesn't see race as a reason to or to not defend someone; he's not racist. It shows that racism in the south is common, and that because of that, Scout has grown up being taught to be racist. Atticus is trying to turn her away from that and get her to focus on the person's true self, not the color of their skin.

In "Kaddo's Wall," what does the wall symbolize to Kaddo? a. wealth b. honesty c. rage d. charity
svet-max [94.6K]

<span>a.     </span>Wealth

In “Kaddo’s Wall,” the main character, Kaddo, had a surplus of corn that was so great he did not know what really to do with it.  The one thing he knew for certain, however, is that he did not want to share his corn with those less fortunate.  Instead he has the corn made into flour and the flour made into bricks with which he builds a wall around his house.  The idea that Kaddo had so much corn that he could use a life-sustaining substance to build a wall is quite opulent.  Thus, because it is with (and out of) his wealth that the wall is made, the wall symbolizes wealth.
