Answer: 52 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The surface area of a rectangular prism is given by :-

S.A.=2(lw+wh+hl), where l is length , w is width and h is height of then prism.

Given: Dimensions of the rectangular prism : l\times w\times h= 2 feet by 3 feet by 4 feet

Then , the surface area of a rectangular prism will be:-

S.A.=2(2(3)+(3)(4)+(2)(4))\\\\\Rightarrow\ S.A.=52\text{ inches}^2

Hence, the surface area of a rectangular prism= 52 square feet

Maggie’s brother is three years younger than twice her age. The sum of their ages is 24. How old is maggie?
JulsSmile [24]

To solve this problem, we must set up a system of equations. In this case, let's let Maggie's age be represented by the variable m and her brother's age be represented by the variable b. We are told that the sum of their ages is 24, which gives us our first equation: m + b = 24. We can construct our next equation from the first sentence of given information: b = 2m - 3. This makes our system of equations:

m + b = 24

b = 2m - 3

To solve, we are going to substitute the value for b in terms of m given by the second equation into the first equation for the variable b.

m + b = 24

m + 2m - 3 = 24

To simplify, we must first combine the variable terms on the left side of the equation using addition.

3m - 3 = 24

Next, we should add 3 to both sides of the equation to get the variable term alone on the left side of the equation.

3m = 27

Finally, we should divide both sides by 3 in order to get the variable m alone.

m = 9

Therefore, Maggie is 9 years old (using the first equation and substituting in this value you can find that her brother is 15 years old).

Hope this helps!

Braxton and Maggie babysit children for extra money over the summer. Braxton's income is determined by f(x) = 9x + 10, where x i
Galina-37 [17]
Lets say that Maggie works 5 hours just the same as Braxton. if we use h(x)=f(x)+g(x) they would make about $100 combined. having to split that Braxton would make less then what he originally. since 9(5)+10= 55 and 6(5)+15=45. but if say Maggie works more then 5 hours then Braxton will be more money then just working alone.

What is the answer to 1/2-1/5
Scorpion4ik [409]
First you need to find the common denominator. Think of a number that both 2 and 5 can go in to evenly. 10 is the best number, so, make both denominators 10. What you do to the bottom, you must do to the top.
Now your equation is 5/10-2/10
Your answer is 3/10

Proportion :
X=
please help me :(
KIM [24]
X=7

You divide 14 by 2 to find the proportion (7) then multiply it by 1 to get the base length of the large triangle since they’re congruent.
