The correct answer is B) They lead executive departments.

The main function of the cabinet members is to supervise the executive departments and make a detailed report to Congress. They also watch the independent agencies and make a report to the president. And finally what they do as well is to make a report to the president of the federal departments.

1. Explain how the methods and styles used by Newton to share his discoveries aided
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

Isaac Newton (1643 - 1727), a renowned English author, physicist, astronomer, and theologian, wrote down more than 10 million words to document his scientific, religious, and academic works and discoveries.  Many of his written words were published after his death.  Through his writings, people increased their understanding of the sciences.

The Protestant reformers of the 16th Century, led by Martin Luther, also used the method of writing down their religious beliefs to increase people's understanding of their religious issues.

Explanation:

But before then, the Catholic Church and her theologians had written down volumes of works about various subjects.  The only difference was that much of the Church documents were not made available for people to freely read.  They were actually reserved for the educated because the Church believed strongly that half education was very dangerous.  We can still feel the misinterpretations of the scriptural, scientific, and technological works today.  Some people are always reducing divine and philosophical matters to their human levels of understanding once they have the slightest opportunity to interpret mysteries.

Ad libitum [116K]
Without the ability to read ancient Chinese and Maya text, we would be limited to archeological findings and guesses made based on them. The fact, that we can read ancient texts, let us know for example:

the names and times of rule of many rulers,
the religious practices
some events from the past
some cultural and technological inventions such as their knowledge of astronomy
the social composition of the society

Our knowledge of urban live comes from the description of customs and occational information about who lived where and how much was paid for what services

What makes Brazil different from the rest of Latin America?
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

Explanation:This essay, part history of ideas and part history of international relations, examines Brazil's relationship with Latin America in historical perspective. For more than a century after independence, neither Spanish American intellectuals nor Spanish American governments considered Brazil part of 'América Latina'. For their part, Brazilian intellectuals and Brazilian governments only had eyes for Europe and increasingly, after 1889, the United States, except for a strong interest in the Rio de la Plata. When, especially during the Cold War, the United States, and by extension the rest of the world, began to regard and treat Brazil as part of 'Latin America', Brazilian governments and Brazilian intellectuals, apart from some on the Left, still did not think of Brazil as an integral part of the region. Since the end of the Cold War, however, Brazil has for the first time pursued a policy of engagement with its neighbours - in South America.
