How to determine how to shade the true solutions to the inequality

This is going to be kinda hard to explain in text, but I'm going to try anyways.

Let's say your inequality is 3<x. First, we need to know what dot to use on the 3.

Since it is less than and not less then or equal to, we use an open dot, a circle, on the 3.

Now we need to see which way to shade.

Since 3 is less than something, we just need to think of something more than 3. 6 for instance.

Once you find a number bigger than 3 you just need to shade that way.

Your friend says that enough information is giving to prove that x=12. Is your friend correct?
seropon [69]

Answer:

C. Yes, you can prove that x = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

My friend is correct because by the HL Congruence Theorem, ∆MNP is congruent to ∆MKL. The hypotenuse and leg of one right ∆ is congruent to the hypotenuse and corresponding leg of the other right ∆. So, enough information was given to prove that x = 12.

AABC is a right triangle. AB=____
rjkz [21]

Since ABC is a right triangle, we can use Pythagorean Theorem to solve for side AB.

Pythagorean Theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

4^2 + 7^2 = c^2

16 + 49 = c^2

65 = c^2

c = 8.06

Hope this helps!! :)

OMG PLS HELP WITH THIS IM PANICKING OMG I GOT A F IN MATH MY MOM JUST YELLED AT ME IM CRYING PLS HELP WITH THS- PLSS TELL ME WHA
Savatey [412]

Answer:

Ok, here we can see that Mr. Jones has $3,553 in his account, and he actually needs $18,469 to buy the car.

One way of representing this is:

Get a ruler, and draw a line that measures 3.553 cm (or close to it, it shouldn't be exact)

Now draw a line that measures 18.469 cm (again, this shouldn't be exact)

The difference between these lines represents the amount of money that Mr. Jones needs to save.

Now, how we find exactly the quantity?

Let's take the total cost of the car:

$18,469

Now let's subtract the amount of money that Mr. Jones already has:

$18,469 - $3,553 = $14,916

This is the amount of money that Mr. Jones needs to save if he wants to buy the car.
