Answer:

natural selection is one mechanism by which evolution occurs

Explanation:

One of the driving mechanisms for evolution to occur is Natural selection. it is how  nature used selection pressure( environmental factors) in the surrounding environments of the organism to select or favour the fittest organisms, against the less fitted, with increases  gene flow, and therefore   population as the fitted organisms, with subsequent increase in the offspring population.

Natural selection is driven by mutation which causes variation. These interrelated  forces   altered the Genotypes of fitted organisms, and therefore made them to have selected advantages over the less fitted ones. With period of time the population of the less fitted fizzled out, while the  fitted organism population  evolved to dominate the environments.

What roles do polysaccharides play in living things?
AVprozaik [17]
The appropriate answer is D. storing sugar and providing structure. Polysaccharides are complex carbohydrates. Starch, glycogen and cellulose are polysaccharides in which the constituent molecules are made of several thousand glucose units linked in long chains. Glycogen is vital to nutrition because it is how the body stores excess glucose in muscles and in the liver.
The molecular structure of glycogen is similar to starch except that the polysaccharide chains are longer and more branched than in glycogen.

Cual es la diferencia entre:<br> los nervios simpáticos y los parasimpáticos.
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

Some differences between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems:

Explanation:

- Neurotransmitters: norepinephrine in sympathetic (adrenergic fibers) and acetylcholine in parasympathetic (cholinergic fibers)

-The sympathetic nerves have their origin in the spinal cord (between segments T-1 and L-2) and from there to the paravertebral sympathetic chain, then in tissues and peripheral organs.

- The parasympathetic nerves have their origin in the brain stem, mainly in the cranial nerve nuclei III (oculomotor), VII (facial), IX (glossopharyngeal) and X (vagus) and in the sacral medulla.
