Here are some dates and events regarding Andrew Jackson's legacy and Native Americans

1814-1824- Jackson negotiates nine different treaties with Native Americans. This results in the US getting land in the southeast part of the country. In exchange, the Native American tribes receive lands in the west.

1830- Indian Removal Act is signed- This gives land in the current US states to the federal government. In return, Native Americans are granted land west of the Mississippi River.

1838-1839- Trail of Tears- The forced removal of the Cherokee tribe in Georgia forces extreme hardships for this group, as they are forced to leave their native land.

North and south who killed reconstruction dbq answers
Sveta_85 [38]
Reconstruction was killed by both. The south didn't want to accept new laws and things like that so they kept their racist ways and always found a way to introduce new laws to segregate African-Americans. The Northerners soon switched their focus and left the African-Americans to the mercy of the southerners who were still racist even during reconstruction.
