Night made the Holocaust personal. Wiesel’s direct, frank, powerful narrative is impossible to ignore. The courage he displays in telling his story cannot be denied. And the specific personal cost he paid must be acknowledged.

The Holocaust is almost too big to get your head around. Personal stories like Night break through that and shatter your heart. Something that must happen to truly comprehend this event and build the conviction that it must never happen again.
