Invaders led to the downfall of the Song Dynasty. Following the proclamation of Kublai Khan as Emperor of China resulted in prolonged warfare. After two decades Kublai Khan's armies were able to take over the Song dynasty which fell into his rule from 1279.
The Treaty of New Echota aimed to lay down the terms by which the Cherokee Nation in its entirety, would give up their territories and move west into indian territory.
