Answer:

Option 2  50 ≤ s ≤ 100

Option 5 She could deposit $50

Option 6 She could deposit $75

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

s -----> amount of money Layla deposit into a saving account

we know that

25%=25/100=0.25

50%=50/100=0.50

so

s\geq 0.25*200 -----> s\geq \$50

s\leq 0.50*200 -----> s\leq \$100

The compound inequality is

\$50 \leq s\leq \$100

<em>Verify each case</em>

case 1) 25 ≤ s ≤ 50

The statement is false

see the procedure

case 2) 50 ≤ s ≤ 100

<u>The statement is True</u>

see the procedure

case 3) s ≤ 25 or s ≥ 50

The statement is false

Because is s ≤ 100 and  s ≥ 50

case 4) s ≤ 50 or s ≥ 100

The statement is false

Because is s ≤ 100 and  s ≥ 50

case 5) She could deposit $50

<u>The statement is true</u>

Because the value of s satisfy the compound inequality  \$50 \leq s\leq \$100

case 6) She could deposit $75

<u>The statement is true</u>

Because the value of s satisfy the compound inequality  \$50 \leq s\leq \$100

The sequence an = 8, 13, 18, 23, ... is the same as the sequence a1 = 8, an = an-1 + 5.
harkovskaia [24]
Actually, this answer would be true. Why?

 The first equation is: a(sub <em>n</em>) = 8, 13, 18, 23

The second is: a(sub 1)=8 ; a(sub <em>n</em>)= a(sub <em>n</em>-1)+5
if you wish to find the second term, plug two into the equation for <em /><em>n</em>
8+5=13
to find the third, plug the second term, 13, in for <em>n.</em>
13+5=18.

Hope this helped! I know it's a bit on the late side, but at least you can get the general idea!

Factor the trinomial x^2 - 16x +63
Butoxors [25]
Factor the following:
x^2 - 16 x + 63
The factors of 63 that sum to -16 are -7 and -9. So, x^2 - 16 x + 63 = (x - 7) (x - 9):
Answer:  (x - 7) (x - 9)

4/5(x+5/6)-2/3(x-1/4)=7/6
solniwko [45]

Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

Hello~let's~solve~your~equation:

<u>Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation:</u>

(\frac{4}{5}) (x)+(\frac{4}{5})(\frac{5}{6})+\frac{-2}{3}x+\frac{1}{6}    =\frac{7}{6}  (Distribute)

\frac{4}{5}x+\frac{2}{3}+\frac{-2}{3}x+\frac{1}{y\6}=\frac{7}{6}

(\frac{5}{5}x+ \frac{-2}{3}x )+(\frac{2}{3}+ \frac{1}{6})=\frac{7}{6} (Combine~like~terms)

\frac{2}{15}x+\frac{5}{6}=\frac{7}{6}

<u>Step 2: Subtract 5/6 from both sides:</u>

\frac{2}{15}x+\frac{5}{6}- \frac{5}{6} =\frac{7}{6} -\frac{5}{6}

\frac{2}{15}x=\frac{1}{3}

<u>Step 3: Multiply both sides by 15/2:</u>

(\frac{15}{2}) *(\frac{2}{15}x)=(\frac{15}{2})*(\frac{1}{3})

x= \frac{5}{2}

Which of the following functions have graphs that contain vertical asymptotes?
pshichka [43]
A vertical asymptotic is a point at which y approaches positive or negative infinite, or both, and y is undefined at that x value.

Of the options, the reciprocal has a vertical asymptote. When approaches zero, y approaches 1÷0, or infinite.
The logarithmic function also has a vertical asymptote at x=0. Let's use f(x) =log base 10 (x) as an example. This function describes the exponent you'd have to put on 10 to get x. When x=0, we have a bit of a problem. What power can you raise 10 to to get 0? The answer is negative infinite, which would be
1/ (10^∞) = 0.
