Charlotte Perkins Gilman is considered a feminist.

Charlotte was an American novelist. She also wrote short stories and nonfinction works. Her most famous work, published in 1890, is "The Yellow Wallpaper"  and it is a best seller of the Femenist Press.

Charlotte was an strong activitist for the rights of women as she believed that the patriarcal society oppresed women by relegating them to an inferior position.

Right, so here it looks as if the answer is the second one, B. The passage starts of simple but around the fourth line Hemingway starts a sentence that doesn't end until the eighth line. It seems very long-winded and the information presented is a bit difficult to decipher, not to mention that hardly any of it in needed to properly understand the passage.
