It started with Germany and Austria-Hungary along with Russia. But then the Ottoman Empire allied with Germany and Austria-Hungary. Then Germany sunk the Lusitania which then involved Britain, France, and the U.S. Then Italy and Bulgaria joined in hopes of gaining more new territory and power. Serbia was forced in when Germany and Austria-Hungary attacked them.
Meaning, everyone on the globe was involved. WWI affected everyone's lives.

WW1 involved a majority of the countries across the globe, beginning with the assassination of archduke Ferdinand.  As smaller countries began to fight, larger powers like Germany and England and France began to get involved, as did America after the Zimmerman telegram.

1. Would you participate in a boycott against a company that does business
erik [133]

Answer:

Socially responsible behavior implies a person’s awareness of the fullness of the requirements imposed on him by society, the state, and those around him, and not only awareness, but also the fulfillment of these requirements. Otherwise, a response occurs of the environment in which the individual is located and acts. Hence the right of society to social control over the actions of its members, their compliance with historically established or consciously formed standards. The value of social responsibility lies in the fact that it is intended to discipline members of society, to encourage them to positive, conscious, useful behavior. Collaboration of business with authoritarian regimes is the socially irresponsible behavior of the company, and socially responsible citizens can boycott such a company.

Often sanctions are seen by politicians as an alternative to the use of military force, accompanied by lower costs, but no less effective in terms of achieving the intended goals. The success of the sanctions cannot be measured by the amount of economic damage inflicted on the recipient country if the purpose of the sanctions is to change the political course of the country. In the event that a country violates human rights, the imposition of sanctions seems appropriate and deserves support.

Explanation:“But it was the figure you cut as an employee, on an employee’s footing with the girls, in work clothes, and being of that tin-tough, creaking, jazzy bazaar of hardware, glassware, chocolate, chicken-feed, jewelry, drygoods, oilcloth, and song hits—that was the big thing; and even being the Atlases of it, under the floor, hearing how the floor bore up under the ambling weight of hundreds, with the fanning, breathing movie organ next door and the rumble descending from the trolleys on Chicago Avenue—the bloody-rinded Saturday gloom of wind-borne ash, and blackened forms of five-storey buildings rising up to a blind Northern dimness from the Christmas blaze of shops.”
