Write the slope-intercept form of an equation that passes
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

y = \frac{4}{3}x-5

Step-by-step explanation:

As the line is perpendicular to y=-\frac{3}{4} x + 2, we know that the slope of the line is \frac{4}{3}. As it passes through (3, - 1), we know that it should be y = \frac{4}{3}x-5.

three friends are in the same algebra class. Their scores on a recent test are three consecutive odd intergers whose sum is 279.
jasenka [17]
X= 1st integer
x+2= 2nd integer
x+4= 3rd integer

Add the integers together

x + (x + 2) + (x + 4)= 279
combine like terms
3x + 6= 279
subtract 6 from both sides
3x= 273
divide both sides by 3
x= 91 first integer

Substitute x=91 to find 2nd & 3rd integers

2nd Integer
=x+2
=91+2
=93

3rd Integer
=x+4
=91+4
=95

ANSWER: The three test scores are 91, 93 and 95.

Hope this helps! :)

Find the perimeter of a rectangle that is 2 and 1/2 yards by 4 and 1/2 yards
Travka [436]
The answer is 14. First, get both numbers and add them twice (2.5+2.5+4.5+4.5) or (2.5 * 2 + 4.5 * 2). Then you should get 2 numbers which are 9 and 5. Then it should be 14, which is the answer.

A music store sells used cds for $5 each and buys used CDs for$1.50 each. you go to the store with $20 and some CDs to sell. you
olya-2409 [2.1K]
Let x be the number of CDs we buy and y the number of CDs we sell.
Each CD sell for $1.5, then the total of money we earn is $1.5y.
Each CD bought for $5, then the total money spent is $-5x
Add the above values like this:
1.5y-5x
We have $20, add them like this:
1.5y-5x+20
Since we want to have<span> at least $10 left when you leave the store, then
we deduce the equation:
</span>1.5y-5x+20\leq 10
