What aspect of nature does the star represent in the poem? Bright Star by John Keats Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou

art-- Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night And watching, with eternal lids apart, Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite, The moving waters at their priestlike task Of pure ablution round earth's human shores, Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask Of snow upon the mountains and the moors-- No—yet still stedfast, still unchangeable, Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast, To feel for ever its soft fall and swell, Awake for ever in a sweet unrest, Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath, And so live ever—or else swoon to death.
its vastness as it looks down upon the mountains, as if they were mere actors wearing masks
its spiritual importance as the overseer of all of earth, cleansing life of its impurities
its indifference toward the trivial details that constitute human life on earth
its constancy in contrast to the rapid changes the speaker undergoes
its difference from the speaker's love, who unfortunately will not live forever

Its constancy in contrast to the rapid changes the speaker undergoes. "<span>Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night And watching, with eternal lids apart, Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite"</span> I would say that in speaking of the star as "steadfast" and or apparently "No-yet steadfast still unchanged" and as an Eremite or recluse indicates the constancy of the star compared to the vicissitudes of human love and affection and the fleeting moments of embracing one's love.

Answer: D) its constancy in contrast to the rapid changes the speaker undergoes.

Explanation: In the given poem "Bright Star" by John Keats, we can see the description of a star as eternal, sleepless ("And watching, with eternal lids apart, Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite") and the author contrasts this idea with the changes and movement of his life ("The moving waters at their priestlike task Of pure ablution round earth's human shores"), he makes clear that despite the rhythm and changes of his life, the star (and the nature) is constant and unchangeable.

Read Shakespeare's "Sonnet 130.”
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

Like everyone, she walks on the ground.

Explanation:

According to the excerpt from Shakespeare's "Sonnet 130", he praises his mistress and makes her seem larger than life with his descriptions and allusions. He seems enamoured to her and treats her almost like a rare piece of art.

In line 12 however, he talks about his mistress treading on the ground when she walks and the best paraphrase for that is like everyone, she walks on the ground.

Read the events that led to Art Fry's creation of temporarily permanent bookmarks described in The Evolution of Useful Things.
Len [333]

Answer:

Hi! The correct order of the events that led to Art Fry's creation of temporarily permanent bookmarks described in <em>The Evolution of Useful Things</em> is: 3,4,1,2. <u>The correct answer is the third one.</u>

Explanation:

I chose the third option (3,4,1,2) because, according to the text, the chronological order for the things that led Art Fry's creation are:

  1. Spencer Silver came upon a curious adhesive that he demonstrated to Fry.
  2. Fry reflected on the failure of bookmarks to do all that might be expected of them.
  3. Fry spent nearly a year and a half experimenting.
  4. Fry's idea was accepted as being commercially viable.

Besides the way in which these events were described by the author, and if you think about it, it <u>is pretty logical</u> the way this happened. Usually, we come up with ideas when we are complaining about the lack of a thing that would be useful in certain moments. If you think about it, this is also what happened here. The last step of the process is always the commercial viability just as in this case.
