Why were Renaissance artists influenced by ancient Greek and Roman temples and buildings?
barxatty [35]

The correct answer is A-The artists worked close to the temples and buildings.

The Renaissance was a cultural movement that took place in Northern Italy at the end of 15th-century and the beginning of 16th-century. It was characterized by the work of artists and intellectuals that were inspired by the Ancient Roman and Ancient Greek artists, whose works were near to the places where Renaissance people lived. This movement started with the construction of the Duomo of the cathedral of Florence, Santa Maria del Fiore, by Filippo Brunelleschi in the mid-15th century. This brilliant architect and artist traveled from Florence to Rome in order to study the ancient Roman constructions and, there, he was inspired by the Duomo of Agrippa's Pantheon to build the new Duomo in Florence, which became the starting point of Renaissance architecture. This attitude, studying and being inspired by the ancient Roman and ancient Greek temples and art in order to create something completely new was the hallmark of Renaissance art and architecture, and it started with the travels of artists to visit temples and buildings nearby.
