Hello,

The rule is to add each 1.05 each time to the number.

If you ever want to find the common difference, simply take the second number of the sequence and subtract it by the first (2.85 - 1.8).

Hope this helps =).

The dimensions of a box of paper clips are 3.1 inches by 1.6 inches by 1 inch. If there are 100 paper clips guaranteed to be in
Cloud [144]

Answer: 0.0496 in^3

First, find the volume of the box, in inches:

3.1 * 1.6 * = 4.96

Then, find the density of the 100 paper clips:

(let d = density)

100d = 4.96

d =  0.0496

the management of a hotel found that they will sell all 800 tickets at 4 dollars per per person for a hour concert for one night
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the rate at which the ticket is sold and let y represent the number of tickets sold at that rate.

When x = 4, y = 800

This means that the income from gate takings at this rate is 4 × 800 = $3200

For each 1 dollar increase in the gate fee,management expects 100 fewer customers to buy tickets. It means that the amount earned would be (x + 1)(y - 100)

For the amount to be $3500, it means that

(x + 1)(800 - 100) = 3500

700(x + 1) = 3500

x + 1 = 3500/700 = 5

Therefore, management should charge $5 per person for gate fee so that it collects 3500 dollars from gate takings.

A recent national survey found that high school students watched an average (mean) of 6.8 movies per month with a population sta
Margaret [11]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that x = no of movies high school students watched is N(6.8, 1.8)

Sample size = 36 and hence std error = 1.8/6 = 0.3

H_0: x bar = 6.8\\H_a: x bar < 6.8\\

(two tailed test)

Mean difference = 6.2-6.8 = -0.6

Test statistic z = -0.6/0.3= -2

p value = 0.02275

Since p <0.05 we reject H0.

There is evidence to show that college students watch fewer movies a month than high school students
