Internet can be used to spread awareness in a short amount of time. It also assists in capturing the attention of a wide number of people. Hence, you may create a FB page and share your motives. You can also set virtual meetings where you broadcast a speech. You can create group events. You may tweet using specific language to capture attention. The increased of attention towards your cause will automatically capture the attention of media. If this takes too long, you may write an email to your local newspaper - that as a start.
