1. B. 2x - 8 = 54 , 2x is from "double the number" and -8 is from "8 fewer", that is equal to the total of choir students which is 54
2. C. 3e+2=23, e represents gage's age. so if everly's age is 3 times gage's age, that is 3e, and then 2 years more is +2, the 23 is everly's age.
3. B. c+.08c=162, C represents the skis. 8% turns into .08 in decimals, so if ski boots (162 total) are 8% more than skis, the equation would be to multiply skis by 8% to get the amount added, then add that to the total cost of skis.

How I did this,

What I did was subtract 8 from 31 to get ( e ) by itself.

This subject will get harder so I reccomend you focus on school and learn how to do this.

<h3>Answer:  262,785</h3>

Note: you may need to delete the comma

============================================================

Explanation:

The info "5 months" is never used to compute the mean. We could easily replace it with "6 months" or "7 months" or any stretch of time, and still get the same answer. So we'll ignore this value.

What we'll do is add up the 21 items given to us, and then divide by 21.

Because there are so many values, and it's easy to get lost, I'm going to add up across the rows

  • Row One: 256,229+253,657+218,747+246,163+235,626+288,694 = 1,499,116
  • Row Two: 316,265+196,721+319,620+285,077+215,152+253,291 = 1,586,126
  • Row Three: 315,011+199,901+265,443+291,806+303,556+215,359 = 159,1076
  • Row Four: 258,554+293,658+289,935 = 842,147

Those subtotals then add up to this

1,499,116+1,586,126+1,591,076+842,147 = 5,518,465

This is the same as adding up all 21 values.

Finally, we divide that sum over 21 as there are 21 values in this list

(5,518,465)/21 = 262,784.047619048

That value then rounds up to 262,785

If your teacher just wanted things to the nearest whole number (without rounding up), then the answer would be 262,784

Side note: using a spreadsheet program would probably be the most efficient/fastest method for this type of problem.

What is the product of (3x-7)(3x-5)
Debora [2.8K]

The answer is 9x² - 36x + 35

FOIL Method or Box Method can be useful in solving this problem.

First Terms Product: 3x × 3x = 9x²

Outside Terms Product: 3x × -5 = -15x

Inner Terms Product: -7 × 3x = -21x

Last Terms Product: -7 × -5 = +35

Combining like terms results in the answer given above.

Which is the distance from point A to B?<br><br> A) 3<br><br> B) 4<br><br> C) 5<br><br> D) 6
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

c) 5

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question you are being asked to find the hypotenuse of the triangle

the triangle has one side that is 3 and the other is 4

use Pythagoras to find the missing side (a^2+b^2=c^2)

3^2+4^2=c^2

simplify the exponents

9+16=c^2

combine like terms/adding

25=c^2

take the square root

5=c

the length of the hypotenuse is 5
