Silk is hard to produce and rich in price.

How do you think the countries of eastern Europe responded to Germany’s attempts to acquire “living space?” What about the Unite
4vir4ik [10]

Well, the Third Reich's attempts to acquire "living space" was pretty much met with little opposition. For eastern European countries there might have been a lot of protest, but that protest fell on deaf ears due to the superpowers of the UK and France unwilling to go through another World War in stop Germany, due to the horrors of World War I. Thus the UK and France maintained a policy of appeasement with Germany by basically giving up land and entire countries for the sake of preventing another wide scale global conflict. The United States cannot be included in this conversation, due to the isolationist policy maintained by the US at the time.
