Answer:

Iron is an essential part of your body, especially for blood production.

Explanation:

Iron is primary involved with the transportation of oxygen throughout the body. Irons help to form heme synthesis, which creates haemogoblin, which is a protein that can be found in red blood cells. Haemogoblin then transports oxygen from your lungs to throughout you entire body, maintain our functions. Without Iron, we wouldn't have this.

Another function of Iron is its role in our metabolism. It is a key component of some proteins and enzymes, which you body needs to survive.

However, there must be a balance in the amount of Iron in you body. Too much can be dangerous and too little of it can produce health problems.

Hope this helped! :)

Which statement best explains why the body releases insulin after a meal high in carbohydrates?
katen-ka-za [31]

The correct answer is A. Carbohydrates contain a lot of glucose, and insulin regulates blood glucose.

Explanation:

Glucose is a substance produced by the liver, this substance is important for the metabolism because it regulates glucose levels in the blood by making cells absorb glucose and use it for different functions or store it. This also implies the higher the glucose level in food is the more insulin is produced. Due to this, the intake of carbohydrates that contain a lot of glucose causes the body to release insulin as the body breaks carbohydrates into glucose and the level of glucose is soon regulated by insulin. According to this, the reason body releases insulin after a meal high in carbohydrates is "Carbohydrates contain a lot of glucose, and insulin regulates blood glucose".
