After the United States declared war on Germany it took approximately 1 year for troops to arrive in Europe.

When Japan attacked pearl harbor on Dec 7th 1942 the us declared war on Japan 2 days later and this caused Germany to declare war on the us however we didn't have large amounts of troops land on European soil until the d day invasion of normandy June 6th 1944
