Answer:

If you need a ride home, Julian will be driving.

Explanation:

The complex sentence comprises two clauses where one being dependent and the other being independent or both can exemplify independent clause and the punctuation marks vary according to the use of a conjunction. However, usually, there is a usage of a comma after the first clause except for some cases. The sentence that best suggests the use of punctuation marks as per this rule is the last option. The first one does not include a comma while the second one has the wrong usage of the comma. Thus, this makes us conclude the last one as the answer.

The cask of amontillado how do carnival tradition add to the mood of the story
Marina CMI [18]

Answer and Explanation:

"The Cask of Amontillado" is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe. The narrator and main character is Montresor, who tells readers of his vicious revenge against his friend Fortunato.

It is interesting to notice that the general mood of the story is sinister, ominous. All the time, due to the author's use of word choice and imagery, while he leads us down the catacombs with the characters, we have this foreboding feeling. We know something bad and scary will happen. However, for a brief moment at the beginning of the story, the mood is one of enjoyment, of fun. That is because Montresor goes out to meet with Fortunato during a Carnival celebration. The streets are filled with people drinking, dancing, and smiling. It is important to pay attention to Montresor, though, for his resolution does not waver for a second. Even amidst the celebration, even upon finding happy and ignorant Fortunato, Montresor does not let go of his desire for vengeance.
