The correct answer is option (B) eocene era.

The eocene era is one of the divisions of the geological time scale characterized by the little or no ice with a small difference in temperature from the equator to the poles. It began 56 million years ago and the amount of oxygen was high compared to the previous era. Green house gases like methane and carbon dioxide were also present in the atmosphere. The oldest fossil evidences of the mammals appear during eocene period. It was characterized by the presence of the early primates, whales, horses and early elephants.

Elephants are the members of the family Proboscidae and the first proboscidaen is said to evolve during the late eocene era, about 35 million years ago. It was called the Paleomastodon with the size of a cow and had tusks and a trunk.

How will you prove that the food stored in leaves os starch
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer:

To prove the food stored in leaves is starch "we will use a iodine indicator, if the leaf turn blue-black then it is confirmed that the leaf has starch. "

Explanation:

To prove the stored food in leaves is starch, first we will take a leaf, then we will treat the leaf in hot water followed by alcohol. The leaf will die when comes in contact with hot water and the alcohol will help us in the break down of the chlorophyll. Which will fade the green color. Now, we will put iodine, which we use as an indicator in the leaf, when it turn blue-black, it is confirmed that starch is present in the leaf. Sometimes the leaf will turn reddish brown, which depicts the absence of starch.
