Semicolon cannot be used in that sentence because it can be used in a sentence like this:

Emma couldn't relax;she knew the teacher was going to punish her.it shows a stronger separation because with the semicolon the two sentences can stand dependently but in the question Cheryl,Blake and Daniel doesn't make enough sense to stand on it's own.....so it will require a comma which shows a separation but not a stronger separation......
