How did voters' perceptions of the economy affect the 2012 presidential election?
liq [111]

The voter’s perceptions of the economy affected the 2012 presidential election in the most significant way - the majority voted in favor of President Obama to help him secure his second term.

Voters assess the state of the economy under the different candidates which helps them determine their preferred voting candidate.

The aim is to select the candidate under whom the economy would perform better.

However, it depends on the percentage of the mass who blame the presidential candidate for the declining economy as opposed to those who did not.

The presidential elections of 2012 was close to an economic crisis - three years after the recession. President Obama’s upward trajectory to help recover after one of the worst economic crises, secured his second win.

Therefore, the dynamics of voting remain affected by the economic condition and hereby stay relevant to the vote choice.

Hence, the voter’s perceptions of the economy secured Barack Obama his second term during the presidential elections from 2012 to 2017.

Define the terms for Canada autocratic , oligarchic and democratic
netineya [11]
Gotcha and not with those textbook definitions.

Lets say we own a herd of goat.  I dont even know if you can have herd of goat or if its called something but back to the point,

In a democratic society, every goat would have an equal chance to represent who they want to be their rancher.  They can express their views openly without any legal prosecution.  However, they dont just choose one person to lead them.  Lets say that theres a group of white colored goats.  These goats can vote for one goat to represent them as whole.  Same with the brown-colored goat.  Same with the black-colored goat.

(And no, please, if someone takes this as racist then I am done.  That is not what im going for)

Now an autocratic society has the rancher with absolute power (like a dictator).  He can control everything to his needs and he does not need to benefit the majority of the people, only the people that will keep him in power (which is why there is no such thing as a Dictator that will help the people.  If he does help the people, he loses the support of his closest allies who had him in power, and he is now tossed out of power).

Finally, an oligarchic is a bit harder to represent with goats but lets say we had some European Goats and some American Goats who used to be European.  They decided to sail across the sea to find "new land" and start there own government... But of course, that European Goat sees the American Soil that the goats now herd on as having lots and lots of grass, which is depleted in Europe due to the large amount of Goats.  They decide to create a charter to grant the American Goats rights to the land only if they send grass back home.

I hope this helps people understand these concepts as I just really came up with the metaphors for it and wow, I already love my own post

The creation of a new committee composed of individuals appointed by the Speaker of the House and the lieutenant governor, inclu
kupik [55]

Answer:

Distrust of government

Explanation:

This is the fundamental trait that is reflected in this description. Texans, when compared to people from other states, appear to have less trust in government. This leads them to make decisions that tend towards less government involvement. In this case, Texans decided to create a new committee to manage the $2 billion SWIRFT and SWIFT funds. This was a sign of distrust of government.

If a purely competitive constant-cost industry is realizing economic profits, we can expect industry supply to
NeTakaya

Answer:

Option “A” Increase, output to increase, price to decrease, and profits to decrease.

Explanation:

Option A is the correct answer because the purely competitive industry is the one in which there are free entry and exit of firms. Generally, firms enter when there is economic profit in the industry. In this way, the economic profit of the industry will attract new firms to enter the industry. Accordingly, new firms will enter the industry. As a result of the entry of new firms in the market, the supply of goods and services (industry supply) will increase which will result in a decrease in the prices of the commodity. This decrease in price will result in lower profit.
