Japan was geologically in a disadvantage due to lack of land and natural resources and frequent earthquakes, but it had a workforce that's willing to work for little pay. The government of Japan educated the workers so they can manufacture intricate electronics and automobiles, which make them a superpower in manufacturing of luxurious products like computers, electronics, and automobiles.
