During the Presidenty of Barak H Obama, the countries in North Africa and Middle-East experienced what is now called the Arab Spring.

These were small-scale protests by people against the government. Most people stood up against what they believed what injustice by Dictators. These eventually turned into Pro-Democracy protests and in some extreme cases turned into a civil war.

The original protests started in Tunisa and resulted in the removal of a dictator. They spread across to Egypt where Husni Mubarak was jailed and Muslim Brotherhood took over. Eventually the army stepped in and Egypt again is a dictatorship.

In Libya, it led to a full scale civil war which led to the capture and death of Gaddafi.

Why do you think the French allowed Napoleon to proclaim himself emperor? Explain your reasoning.
tigry1 [53]
Couple of reasons: First, he was a man with a considerable ego. There is no reasonable argument against him needing to be the centre of attention and the top of the heap.
Second, the Revolution, capital r, had failed. After the execution of Robespierre, certain people in positions of influence in France began to realise that popular rule and Rousseau's idealism wasn't helping anyone, in the form that it had manifested.

Hope this helped!

Hopefully this helps.

Pollution in the tenements created  hazardous conditions, especially for the children. Sickness spread quickly with so many people living in a small space which  led to many becoming gravely ill after a year of living within the buildings. It was a breeding ground for small pox, cholera,  typhoid, and tuberculosis. The death rate increased from diseases during this period. These families could not afford  medicines to take care of their maladies due to small incomes. As the population continues increasing, it caused even more  crowding and made conditions more severe. One in every ten infants would die living in the tenements. The people working  in the factories had to fight for basic necessities to live.
