Despite those opinions, he claims that it did more help than harm by bringing about the longest peacetime expansion in the history of the country. For instance, real family income up, the poverty rate dropped, entrepreneurship boomed, and new technologies boomed.</span>

Many countries including Venezuela borrowed American ideals in their fight for independence. As for the second answer, I would say the Mexican war for independence could have pushed other countries to leave Spain, but I'm not completely sure.
