Haresh is writing a coordinate proof involving an isosceles triangle. Haresh places his triangle on the coordinate plane such th

at the base of the triangle lies along the x-axis.

Answer:- (a/2, b) is coordinates should he assign to the third vertex of the isosceles triangle.

Explanation:-

As the given triangle is isosceles then the median of the triangle divides it into two equal triangles such that the base of the new triangles becomes half of the original triangle=\frac{1}{2}a

[where a is the base of the original isosceles triangle]

Since the median of the given triangle join the third vertex and the mid point of the base thus the x coordinate of the points remains same=\frac{1}{2}a and from the graph it is clear that y coordinate of third point is b .

Thus the coordinates for the third vertex must be (\frac{a}{2},b).

Round the following numbers to the nearest ten. A: 12 B: 15 C: 154 D: 6
bija089 [108]

When rounded off to the nearest tens, the numbers are 10, 20, 150 and 10

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Step 1: If the numbers have their units digit as 5 or greater, then round it off to the next ten or else round it off to the previous ten.

⇒ 12 ≈ 10

⇒ 15 ≈ 20

⇒ 154 ≈ 150

⇒ 6 ≈ 10

To the nearest hundred what is the greatest whole number that rounds to 2500 the least whole number
snow_lady [41]
So, we round to hundreds, yes? is this waht i understood?

then the greatest number that will be rounded down to 2500 will be 2549 - the next number, 2550 would be rounded to 2600

and the least would be 2450. 2449 would be rounded down to 2400.

Make a table of values for f(x) = 18x2 + 10x + 1.
serg [7]

Answer/step-by-step explanation:

To make a table of values, substitute each value of x into the given equation function f(x) = 18x^2 + 10x + 1

For x = -3,

f(-3) = 18(-3)^2 + 10(-3) + 1

f(-3) = 18(9) + (-30) + 1

f(-3) = 162 - 30 + 1 = 133

For x = -2,

f(-2) = 18(-2)^2 + 10(-2) + 1

f(-2) = 18(4) + (-20) + 1

f(-2) = 72 - 20 + 1 = 53

For x = -1,

f(-1) = 18(-1)^2 + 10(-1) + 1

f(-1) = 18(1) + (-10) + 1

f(-1) = 18 - 10 + 1 = 9

For x = 0,

f(0) = 18(0)^2 + 10(0) + 1

f(0) = 18(0) + 0 + 1

f(0) = 0 - 0 + 1 = 1

For x = 1,

f(1) = 18(1)^2 + 10(1) + 1

f(1) = 18(1) + 10 + 1

f(1) = 18 + 10 + 1 = 29

For x = 2,

f(2) = 18(2)^2 + 10(2) + 1

f(2) = 18(4) + 20 + 1

f(2) = 72 + 20 + 1 = 93

For x = 3,

f(3) = 18(3)^2 + 10(3) + 1

f(3) = 18(9) + 30 + 1

f(3) = 162 + 30 + 1 = 193
