What is the meaning of life and death

I think living is to serve god and dying is going to heaven.

The meaning of life is unknown but most people consider there to be a system of go to school, get a job, have a family, then have enough money to retire, the meaning of death is your body is shutting down and it has lived enough life. I hope this helps but some of this comes from my opinion.
