Why did violent conflict increase between African Americans and whites in North Carolina in the late 1960s and
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

There was a lack of progress in implementing civil rights reforms.

There was a lack of opportunity for African Americans.

Explanation:

The increasing violent conflict between African Americans and whites happened in North Carolina in the 1960 and 1970s. The reason for the conflict was the laws that prevented African Americans from having their rights. The segregation laws (Jim Crow Laws) binned them under the law and separated them from the white in North Carolina. As the civil right movement began to bring reform in society to bring better opportunities for African Americans, some of the states in the South refuse to admit and lacked in progress in implementing civil rights.
