This poem belongs to Blake's collection of poems, "Songs of Innocence", and the same iconographic elements that are used in Christianity can be found; the lamb represents innocence, sacrifice and Jesus on the cross to free humanity from sin. Blake questions the little lamb if it knows who or what has created it, telling it that it was God’s will that brought it to life. </span>
