Answer:

D). L-Cut.

Explanation:

L-cut is demonstrated as the editing technique in which the previous scene's audio overlaps and cuts the succeeding scene's picture. This leads to playing the audio of the present scene until the next scene until the actual video of that scene begins to play.

As per the question, 'L-cut' is being illustrated as reflected through Jazmin's observation while watching television that 'audio of the present scene being continued till next scene before playing of the audio from that clip'. This would assist in avoiding the abrupt ending of the current clip and moving on to the next clip smoothly and coherently. Thus, option D is the correct answer.

Daniel Hale Williams was the first man to treat an injured human heart. In Chicago of 1893, Williams treated a colored man (what's his name?) with a knife wound in his heart. In a time when African-Americans and white people were racially segregated through discrimination, this hospital (What's the name of the Hospital Williams worked in?) the only one to treat both black and white people. Dr. Williams did x-rays on (the man's name?) to figure out the best way to treat the injury without killing his patient. There was no time to waste. Williams decided to take a chance and open up the man’s chest ignoring the protests of his fellow doctors. They carefully removed bones and muscles, knowing if they messed up they would lose their patient. Williams examined the stab wound to see how far it went. He went farther than the wound to repare a torn blood vessel and stich up the pericardium (a fluid-filled bag that surrounds the hart). He cleaned up the wound after put back the man`s muscle and bones, and stitched up the torn skin. The surgery was completed and (Name of the man?) successfully recovered. Williams made it on the newspaper in an article titled “Sewed Up His Heart". Dr. Williams took the risk to help someone live despite other's protests making him a hero in the history of the medical field.

Wittaler [7]

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

Dr. Dowell says that we need to be prepared for a pandemic. He thinks every nation should have an emergency plan. More medications like Tamiflu should be available. He thinks rich countries like the U.S. should help poor countries pay for medicine and health care.

Why does the author most likely include this information at the end of the text instead of at the beginning?

A. because it draws a conclusion based on the evidence presented throughout the text

B. because it offers new evidence that is meant to help readers better understand the text

C. because it poses new questions for readers to think about now that they have read the text

D. because it offers supplemental information that readers can compare to evidence presented in the text

Answer:

The author includes this information at the end of the text:

A. because it draws a conclusion based on the evidence presented throughout the text .

Explanation:

After discussing and presenting evidence throughout the text, author John DiConsiglio is now ready to conclude it. What he presents at the end cannot be new evidence or supplemental information, for that would not be a conclusion at all. He is also not presenting questions - he is making statements. Those statements are based on the information presented previously, supported by it. What the author wants now is to show how important that information was and how we can use it to be prepared for future cases of the disease.

A sentence composed of nonsense words can have grammatical meaning.
a. True
b. False
soldier1979 [14.2K]
This is true. A famous example of this is a poem Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll which is completely made up of nonsensical words yet is entirely grammatically correct and can be analyzed as such.
