There are 6 times as many dogs as cats. Then there are 18 dogs

Solution:

Let the number of cats be "a"

The number of dogs is 6 times more than the number of cats

Then number of dogs is 6a

Total number of dogs and cats = 21

Hence we can say,

a + 6a = 21

7a = 21

a = 3

Hence there 3 cats and number of dogs is 6a = 6 x 3 = 18

Hence there are 18 dogs

Shkiper50 [21]

Answer:

B) no solution

Step-by-step explanation:

this can be solved by substitution method

y= ⅔x + 4. (equation 1)

and 2x-3y= 3. (equation 2)

substitute for y into equation 2

2x-3(2/3x + 4) = 3

2x - 2x -12=3

0=15

this is a no solution equation

∆GHI is an isosceles triangle with a vertex angle H If the m∠H=80°, then find the m∠I.
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

m∠I = 50 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Mathematically, the base angles of an isosceles triangle are equal

So in this case, since H is a vertex;

m∠I + m∠H + m∠G = 180

m∠I = m∠G = x

2x + 80 = 180

2x = 180-80

2x = 100

x = 100/2

x = 50
