Erosion is a process by which the surface layers of soil are blown away by the impact of winds, water, and ice or any other biological agent like the man himself.
These processes break up the bedrocks and stones and which as the impact of compression and heating decompose thus, the soil is said to be made up of organic and inorganic matter of which the planets derive nutrients.
It affects the soil as the soil is an important component of the ecosystem and the quality and quantity of soils found in a country or region is proof of its diversity and richness like in India soil are found in forests like the forest soil, in desert areas the sandy soil, yellow and brown earth in central states and Deccan or black soil good for cotton cultivation in southern India hence the soil is definitely affected.
Soil form the base for various organisms that relies on the content of soil for habitats and other types of soil like those found in mangrove forest the muddy soils that help protect from cyclonic storms etc. Thus its impact on the earth and the lifestyle of an organism is deeply dependent on soil.
