When we pick the first computer, there will be a 3/20 chance of picking a defective computer.  After this, we will have taken away one computer, and one defective computer.  This will leave us with 2 defective computers and 19 computers.

If we draw a computer from this, there is a 2/19 chance of picking a defective computer.  We repeat the same steps again: take away a defective computer and normal computer.

This leaves us with one defective computer and one normal computer.  There is a 1/18 chance of drawing the defective computer.

To finish this problem, we multiply our three chances together.  This is:

3/20 * 2/19 * 1/18 = 6/6840 = 1/1140, so the third answer is correct.

tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

$19.60

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

number of pages= 136 pages

number of copies = 19 copies

Hence 19 copies make a total of = 136*19

=2584 pages

hence if 500 pages cost $3.80

  then   2584 pages will cost x

cross multiply

500x= 2584*3.8

500x=9819.2

Divide both sides by 500

x= 9819.2/500

x= 19.6384

x=$19.60

It will cost $19.60

The midpoint is (blank,blank)
sveta [45]

Answer:

The answer to your question is Midpoint = (0, 1)

                                                    Equation of the bisector    y = 2x + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

P (-4, 3)

Q (4, -1)

Process

1.- Find the midpoint

Xm = (-4 + 4)/2

Xm = 0/2

Xm = 0

Ym = (3 - 1)/2

Ym = 2/2

Ym = 1

Midpoint = (0, 1)

2.- Equation of the line

slope = (-1 - 3) / (4 + 4)

          = -4/8

          = -1/2

But the new line is perpendicular so the new slope is

       m = 2

Equation of the new line

        y - y1 = m(x - x1)

        y - 1 = 2(x - 0)

        y - 1 = 2x

        y = 2x + 1
