From the play "Hedda Gabler" by Henrik Ibsen:

1. Tesman wants to return the manuscript to Lovborg because he feels sorry for the other man and is a decent person.

Explanation: Tesman slightly felt jealous of Lovborg but he felt guilty about it, and he was worried about how Lovsborg would feel about losing his manuscript.

2. Lovborg tells Thea this because he wants to punish Thea.

Explanation: The manuscript was symbolic for the love between him and Thea, but because he resorted back to drinking and plans to separate from her, he doesn't want to admit that he lost it and says this to hurt her.

BRAINLIEST
Shalnov [3]
If I want to have a good day i usually do things that make me happy. Whether it be having out with family or just enjoying my personal time. What I’ve noticed about life is that if you have a positive attitude you will feel better about most things that happen around you. Ups and downs can lead to a bad day, but a good attitude can let you enjoy the goodness around you.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!! In the space provided, explain how the meaning of the following words has changed over time. Identify both the
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

Conversation in 1611 was used in many passages, the word is used something like this: "Your vain conversation received from your fathers," or "Our conversation is in heaven." In the first passage, conversation refers to a manner of life; and in the second, it means citizenship. The word peculiar was used in 1611 to mean a very special person or object. This meaning can be followed to its present meaning, strange, odd, or unusual. Likewise, the word corn in England was the name used for all other grains except corn. They had never seen the grain they obtained later from the American Indian. Our vocabulary must have evolved throughout time as we advanced in different ways and as humanity continues to evolve I am definite that our vocabulary will continue to change as time goes on.

Can someone please help me with this thanks
____ [38]

I will underline the predicate nouns or pronouns and mark in bolds the predicate adjectives. Remember: predicate pronouns are pronouns that are present in the predicate; predicate nouns follow the verb (and are nouns or noun phrases that renames or offers more information about the subject); predicate adjectives follow a verb and modify the subject of the sentence.

1. Itzhak Perlman is a distinguished violinist. (the noun phrase "a distinguised violinist" gives us more information about the subject "I. Perlman")

2. Born in 1945, Perlman contracted polio at the age of four. (Mr. Perlman was born in 1945 and he also contracted polio)

3. Perlman is also an award-winning teacher and conductor. (this is a compound predicate adjective: he is both a teacher and a conductor)

4. His playing style is enthusiastic, expressive, and flawless. (this predicate adjective describes Mr. Perlman's playing style)

5. When my friends and I listen to him play, we are amazed at his talent. (I think this is the sentence without subject complements)
