Conflict is happens when either one of the individuals have misunderstanding or are reaching over the same goal. The possible advices one can give to people in conflict are (1) talk things out, (2) listen to the side of the other, (3) be open-minded, (4) when explaining, explain it well, (5) face your responsibilities whether good or bad and (6) do not include people who are not part of the conflict, keep it among yourselves.
In "The Sound of Silence," the speaker feels he has an important message to deliver to the people entrenched in materialism, but they are too busy worshiping "the neon god" of culture to care. The speaker's tone can therefore be described as solemn and disappointed.
