The cartoon below titled “Where the Blame Lies” was created in the late 1800s: A political cartoon shows Uncle Sam standing on a

platform. A man stands next to Uncle Sam and points out to a crowd of people. They appear to be entering the United States after exiting ships in New York Harbor. The people seem to be walking in a wild manner. The Statue of Liberty and the American flag can be seen in the background. © The Granger Collection/Image Quest 2012 Which political issue does this cartoon illustrate? the effects of unchecked immigration the health effects of the factory system the effects of low American wages the effects of prohibiting alcohol on society

The point of the cartoon, based on the description of the illustration, is the negative effect of unchecked immigration. The cartoon depicts "hordes" of new immigrants coming into the United States in a disorderly and dangerous fashion. This idea of immigrants making the United States a less safe and pleasant place is nothing new, and still exists today.

The cartoon's message is clearer when you look at the actual image. There is a sign at the harbour saying "Entry for Immigrants. Baggage the only Requisite", implying that regulation of immigration was too lax. The caption of the cartoon is :
<span>"If Immigration was properly Restricted you would no longer be troubled with Anarchy, Socialism, the Mafia and such kindred evils!"

</span>These messages make the point of the cartoon even clearer, but it can still be deduced from the description provided.

Which action was not a precedent set by President George Washington? He served only two terms. He lived in the White House. He e
Georgia [21]

George Washington was elected unanimously twice as the first president of America. He helped define the future role and authority of the office. He understood well that it is necessary to revive executive power in the country. He believed that the precedents he had to make was necessary for the republic to function, but did not intend to implement a dictatorship or a monarchy. He appointed the Cabinet, and proposed the main laws to the Congress, with the intention of the Presidency to be powerful. He spent a lot of time doing government jobs, organizing meetings with the public in the afternoon, as well as dinner with invited guests.

He wanted to spend time on his property, especially under the pressure of obligations and merciless journalists, and thus made the president's withdrawal into his homes, under pressure from the public, acceptable. He retired after eight years and thus set the precedent that the president could only serve two mandates. It was later broken by Roosevelt.

The right answer is He lived in the White House.

How did daily life change when humans shifted from a nomadic lifestyle to a more sedentary lifestyle?
Murrr4er [49]

People began to rely on agriculture. And, organizing agriculture led to the development of political organization. Women's role in society became more domestic as men began to do the farmwork. When there was surplus agricultural production, other occupations like artisans and merchants came up.

Why did the colonial assemblies reject the Albany plan
wel
The main reason why the colonial assemblies rejected the Albany plan is because they were afraid and paranoid about a central body that would tax them, since anti-taxation sentiment was strong at this time.
