THE PHOSPHATE HEAD INTERACT WITH WATER. Phospholipids are made up of two major parts; a hydrophobic polar head group and a hydrophobic  tail. The polar head has one or more phosphate groups and is the part that faces the water when the molecules is put inside water; the hydrophobic tail which does not react with water will faces away from water.

A segment of DNA shows bases in this order AGT CAC GCA, complete the corresponding DNA strand: TCA GTG?
GrogVix [38]

The answer is B: CGT

According to the base pairing rules, in DNA, adenine pairs with thymine (A-T), and cytosine pairs with guanine (C-G).

The complementary triplet for GCA is CGT. So, for the DNA segment AGT CAC GCA, the complementary strand will be TCA GTG CGT:

Known strand:                  <span>AGT CAC GCA</span>

<span>Corresponding strand:      TCA GTG CGT</span>

Hepa filters are used to remove microbes from:_______
sergiy2304 [10]

Hepa filters can efficiently remove microbes from the air (Option a is correct).

<h3>What are Hepa filters?</h3>

Hepa filters, i.e., high-efficiency particulate air filters, are used to separate microorganisms from the air.

These filters (Hepa filters) eliminate over 99% of microorganisms such as bacteria, dust and pollen particles having a size higher than 0.3µm.

In conclusion, Hepa filters can efficiently remove microbes from the air (Option a is correct).

You are interested in studying a gene called CFTR because mutations in this gene in humans cause cystic fibrosis. You have made
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

The mouse CFTR gene and human CFTR gene encode proteins that can serve a similar function.

Explanation:

CFTR (Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) gene that codes for the membrane protein. This gene is responsible for the transport of the chloride ions in the cell.

Any mutation in CFTR gene can cause the lung diseases in individual. As shown in the experiment the mouse gets normal when given normal human CFTR gene. The CFTR gene plays the similar role and function in both huamn and mouse.

Thus, the correct answer is option (C).
