Why did mostly southerners oppose the second bank of the US?

It was mainly because the Southern people as it did not benefit them in any way and they were in favor of Jacksonian Democracy. McCulloch v. Maryland said that the Second National Bank of the U.S. certainly was constitutional. Andrew Jackson revolted against the courts and didn’t listen to them.

They beleive that if the ninety-five theses left uncontrolled, it would became a hindrance for the church's power within the government and create a financial defisit for the church.
